INTRODUCED BY John Patrick Burnett, County Legislator
Body
WHEREAS, on March 8, 1998, Holy Cross School's fifth grade girls basketball team defeated St. Gabriel's by a final score of 23-15; and,
WHEREAS, this victory made the Crusaders the Kansas City Parochial League champions for 1997-1998; and,
WHEREAS, Holy Cross players participating in the championship game were Nidia Contreras, Krystal Cude, Mary Disciacca, Nicole Floyd, Anjelica Herrera, Christina Rizza, Rosemary Rodriguez, and Samantha Wiggins; and,
WHEREAS, Holy Cross ended its season league play with a 5-2 record; and,
WHEREAS, Coach Christina Disciacca led this outstanding group of young girls to their regular season and championship victory; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the Legislature congratulates Holy Cross' fifth grade girls basketball team on their outstanding victory.

Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
