Body
WHEREAS, Local 1707, American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees is the labor representative for employees in the Department of Corrections bargaining unit; and,
WHEREAS, in the County's 1998 budget, $100,000.00 has been allocated for employee salary increases in this bargaining unit; and,
WHEREAS, Local 1707 has proposed that these raised be distributed according to the document attached hereto; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the Legislature hereby urges the administration to immediately implement salary increases for the Department of Corrections bargaining unit, as indicated on the attachment.

Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
