Body
WHEREAS, on November 2, 2010, Jolie Justus was re-elected to the Missouri General Assembly, representing the 10th Senatorial District in Jackson County and will serve as the Assistant Minority Floor Leader in her new term; and,

WHEREAS, Jolie was first elected to the state senate in 2006, where she has served as a leading advocate for area children, women, and the poorest and most vulnerable members of our community; and,

WHEREAS, Jolie earned a degree in communications from Southwest Missouri State University in Springfield, MO, and received her juris doctorate from the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Law where she served as managing editor of the UMKC Law Review, was a member of the Bench and Robe Honor Society, and received the Charles E. Whittaker Award for Academic Excellence; and,

WHEREAS, Jolie is the Director of Pro Bono Services for the law firm of Shook, Hardy & Bacon, LLP, recognized as one of the top 100 free legal services programs in the nation; and,

WHEREAS, as a strong advocate for the citizens of Missouri, Jolie has been recognized time and again for her work by organizations such as the American Cancer Society, the Citizen's for Missouri's Children, the Midwest Foster Care and Adoption Association, the Missouri Association of Social Welfare, the Missouri Association of Trial Attorneys, the Missouri Judicial Conference, and the Missouri Bar, among many others; and,
