Body
WHEREAS, the Purchasing Director has solicited formal written bids on Bid No. 120-01 for purchase of (1) one forklift truck for use by the Public Works Department; and,

WHEREAS, he has received as the lowest three bids thereon bids from the following:
Vendor Bid
RDS Equipment, Inc. $22,204.80
Kansas City (Jackson County), MO

G. W. Van Keppel Co. $24,835.00
Kansas City, KS

Wiese Material Handling, Inc. $24,915.00
North Kansas City, MO
and,

WHEREAS, following evaluation of the bids submitted, the Purchasing Director has recommended that award be made to RDS Equipment, Inc., of Kansas City, MO, for the reason that it has submitted the lowest and best bid; therefore,

BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that award be made as recommended by the Purchasing Director, and that the Purchasing Director be, and is hereby, authorized to execute for the County any documents necessary to the accomplishment of the award; and,

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of the Department of Finance is authorized to make all payments, including final payment on the agreement.

Enacted and Approved
Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
