Body
WHEREAS, the Jackson County Drug Task Force has a need for four new vehicles; and,

WHEREAS, Corwin Motors of Springfield, MO and Corwin Ford Lincoln Republic of Republic, MO responded with off the lot quotes for all four requested vehicles; and,


WHEREAS, pursuant to section 1030.4 of the Jackson County Code, the Officer in Charge of the Task Force and Director of Finance and Purchasing recommend the award of a contract for the furnishing of four new vehicles for use by the Drug Task Force to Corwin Motors of Springfield, MO and Corwin Ford Lincoln Republic of Republic, MO under the terms and conditions of an existing competitively bid state of Missouri Contract No. CC240138001-011, at an actual total cost to the County in the amount of $196,134.00; and,



WHEREAS, award under the state contract is recommended due to the significant discounts offered to larger entities; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the award be made under the existing competitively bid government contract as recommended by the Officer in Charge and Director of Finance and Purchasing and that the Director be and hereby is authorized to execute any documents necessary to the accomplishment of the award; and,


BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of Finance and Purchasing be and hereby is authorized to make all payments, including final payment on the contract.
