Body
WHEREAS, the Office of the Prosecuting Attorney has recommended a Cooperative Agreement ("Agreement') with Adult Basic Education to provide basic academic skills and training to Jackson County Drug Court participants, at a cost to the County not to exceed $4,539.00 and,
WHEREAS, these classes will meet three (3) days a week for two (2) hours per day; and,
WHEREAS, a copy of the proposed Agreement is attached hereto and the term for this Agreement is October 1, 2005 to December 31, 2005; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the County Executive be and hereby is authorized to execute an Agreement with Adult Basic Education, for use of the Jackson County Drug Court Program; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of the Department of Finance be and hereby is authorized to make all payments, including final payment on this Agreement.
Enacted and Approved
Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
