A RESOLUTION authorizing the County Executive to execute a Temporary Right-of-Entry agreement in favor of the City of Independence, Missouri, for the Square Streetscape Project.

RESOLUTION NO. 21911, April 21, 2025

 

INTRODUCED BY Megan L. Marshall, County Legislator

 

 

Body

 WHEREAS, the City of Independence is requesting permission to access and perform construction on Jackson County property, specifically the Independence Courthouse; and,

 

WHEREAS, the construction will include removal and replacement of sidewalks, curbs, gutters, storm sewer structures, lighting, roadway striping, and performance of minor grading is needed; and, 

 

WHEREAS, the execution of appropriate Temporary Right-of-Entry agreement is in the best interests of the health, welfare, and safety of the citizens of Jackson County; now therefore,

 

BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the attached agreement is hereby approved and that the County Executive is hereby authorized to execute on behalf of the County the indicated documents necessary to give effect to this Resolution, in forms to be approved by the County Counselor.

 

 

Enacted and Approved

Effective Date:  This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
