WHEREAS, the County owns five (5) parcels of property in Jackson County located in Lee's Summit, MO; and,
WHEREAS, the parcel numbers associated with these properties are as follows:
1. PARCEL #43-900-03-0201-1 / PROPERTY BOUNDED BY NW GREGORY, LEE'S SUMMIT ROAD AND NW STROTHER ROAD, LEE'S SUMMIT, MO AND KANSAS CITY, MO
2. PARCEL #43-900-03-0202 / PROPERTY BOUNDED BY LEE'S SUMMIT ROAD AND NW STROTHER ROAD, LEE'S SUMMIT, MO
3. PARCEL #43-900-03-1102 / PROPERTY ON THE SOUTH SIDE OF NW STROTHER ROAD, LEE'S SUMMIT, MO
4. PARCEL #43-900-03-04 / PROPERTY ON THE WEST SIDE OF LEE'S SUMMIT ROAD, LEE'S SUMMIT, MO
5. PARCEL #43-900-03-0201-2 / PROPERTY ON THE WEST SIDE OF LEE'S SUMMIT ROAD, LEE'S SUMMIT, MO
WHEREAS, the Administration can identify no current or future use for the property; and,
WHEREAS, the Administration recommends that the Legislature declare this real property surplus to the County's needs and authorize the Interim Director of Finance and Purchasing to solicit bids to sell the surplus properties for the maximum benefit to Jackson County residents, pursuant to the provisions of Chapter 11 of the Jackson County Code 1984; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the five (5) parcels detailed above be and hereby are declared surplus and that the Interim Director of Finance and Purchasing be and hereby is authorized to solicit bids for the selling of the surplus parcels pursuant to the provisions of Chapter 11, Jackson County Code, 1984.
Enacted and Approved
Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
