Body
WHEREAS, the Parks and Recreation Department desires to purchase an updated sign with an electronic messaging center to be installed at Woods Chapel and Liggett Roads; and,
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance and Purchasing has solicited bids on Invitation to Bid No. 84-12 for the furnishing of this sign; and,
WHEREAS, a total of thirty-one notifications were distributed and three responses were received as follows:

Lawrence, KS $59,980.00
Acme Sign, Inc.
North Kansas City, MO $60,372.00
and,
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance and Purchasing recommends that the contract be awarded to Infinity Signs, Inc., of Independence, MO, as the lowest and best bidder; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that award be made as recommended by the Director of Finance and Purchasing, and that the Director be, and is hereby, authorized to execute for the County any documents necessary to the accomplishment of the award; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of Finance and Purchasing is authorized to make all payments, including final payment on the contract.
Enacted and Approved
Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
