Body
WHEREAS, the Jackson County Drug Commission has recommended an agreement with the Hickman Mills Prevention Coalition for a violent crime prevention program; and,
WHEREAS, the Hickman Mills Prevention Coalition has developed the South Kansas City Targeted Neighborhood Initiative to connect youths within the Hickman Mills and Ruskin Heights area who commit violent crime with the appropriate mental healthcare professional; and,
WHEREAS, a Cooperative Agreement with the Hickman Mills Prevention Coalition for a violent crime prevention program at a cost to the County in the amount of $59,000.00 is in the best interests of the health, safety, and welfare of the citizens of Jackson County; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the County Executive be and hereby is authorized to execute a Cooperative Agreement with the Hickman Mills Prevention Coalition for the furnishing of a violent crime prevention program, in the amount of $59,000.00, in a form to be approved by the County Counselor; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of Finance and Purchasing be and hereby is authorized to make all payments, including final payment on the agreement.
Enacted and Approved
Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
