Body
WHEREAS, the Public Works Department has certain real estate that has become excess to the County's needs; and,

WHEREAS, the Jackson County Purchasing Director has declared this property surplus; and,

WHEREAS, the Purchasing Director has solicited formal written bids on Bid No. 99-95 for the sale of the surplus county-owned real estate; and,

WHEREAS, 17 invitations to bid were distributed to interested parties and the only bid received was from James Graham in the amount of $500.00 for a parcel of property known as Liggett Road, Parcel No. 42-640-07-01, located in Section 12, Township 48N, Range 31W; and,

WHEREAS, the Purchasing Director has recommended that award be made to James Graham in the amount of $500.00 for the reason that he has submitted the highest and best bid; therefore,

BE IT RESOLVED, by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the Director of Purchasing is hereby authorized to dispose of said surplus property by way of sale to the highest bidder; and,

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that award be made as recommended by the Purchasing Director, and that the Purchasing Director be, and is hereby, authorized to execute for the County any documents necessary to the accomplishment of the award.

Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
