Body
WHEREAS, the County did, by Resolution 13307, dated August 7, 2000, enter into a contract with Pyramid Contractors, Inc., of Olathe, KS, in the actual amount of $74,500.00, for the Little Blue Trace Bicycle Trail Project; and,
WHEREAS, proposed Change Order No. 1 is necessary to add 530 linear feet of 10-ft-wide concrete flatwork, which will increase the width of the trail under U.S. Highway 24 from 4 feet to 10 feet, and extend the trail under the new Little Blue Parkway in Independence, and said change order will result in an increase not to exceed $30,475; therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that Change Order No. 1 to the aforesaid contract be, and is hereby, approved and the Director of Purchasing be, and is hereby authorized to execute the said change order on behalf of the County; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Manager of the Division of Finance be and hereby is authorized to make all payments, except final payment on the contract.

Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
