Body
WHEREAS, by Ordinance 2913, dated April 12, 1999, the County Legislature authorized the County Executive to execute a Memorandum of Understanding with the Board of Police Commissioners of Kansas City, MO, for the Midwest H.I.D.T.A. Kansas City Metropolitan Enforcement Initiative Task Force, whereunder the Board reimburses the County for 100% of the salary of an assistant prosecuting attorney; and,

WHEREAS, by Ordinance 3008, dated March 13, 2000, and Resolution 13275, dated July 10, 2000, the Legislature did authorize First and Second Addenda to this Memorandum modifying certain terms at no cost to the County; and,

WHEREAS, the parties now desire to extend the agreement, as amended for an additional one-year period; and,

WHEREAS, the attached Third Addendum to Memorandum of Understanding provides a suitable mechanism by which to implement the understanding of the parties; now therefore,
BE IT ORDAINED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the following appropriation be made from the unappropriated surplus of the 2000 Anti-Drug Sales Tax Fund:
