WHEREAS, Theresa Brestogianis, Jackson County employee, will be retiring after 25 years of employment with the County; and,
WHEREAS, Theresa began working for Jackson County on October 1, 1970, as a clerk/steno under Assessor John F. Sweeney, and later worked 12 years as a legislative aide for Joe Bolger, Jr., Eastern Jackson County Judge and Jackson County Legislator; and,
WHEREAS, she then became Executive Secretary to the Jackson County Election Board, working eight years for Charlene Davis and Robert C. Nichols, Jr.; and,
WHEREAS, since August 5, 1991, Theresa has been working as an information specialist/clerk at the Independence Courthouse for the Facilities Management Department under the supervision of Anthony Sirna and Vince Accurso; and,
WHEREAS, Theresa has been a wonderful asset to the Independence Courthouse as she accurately answers callers' questions with a friendly voice and greets visitors to the courthouse with a warm smile; and,
WHEREAS, Theresa was born and raised in Sugar Creek, MO, and has two children, John Joseph Brestogianis and Jamie Marie Greer, and has additionally been blessed with three wonderful grandchildren; and,
WHEREAS, Theresa is a member of Trinity Episcopalian Church; her favorite hobby is traveling which she enjoys doing in her spare time; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the Legislature hereby congratulates Theresa Brestogianis on her 25 years with Jackson County, Missouri, and wishes her well on her ret...
