Body
WHEREAS, the Office Services Section has certain personal property, namely one A. B. Dick 1700 Series Offset Press Serial No. MD369JC000346 with accessories, and two A. B. Dick Tandom Presses Model 360T Serial No. 000359 & 000360, that have become excess to the County's needs; and,
WHEREAS, the Jackson County Purchasing Director has declared this property surplus; and,
WHEREAS, the Purchasing Director has solicited bids for the sale of the A. B. Dick 1700 Series Offset Press with accessories; and,
WHEREAS, the only bid received was from Mid-America Services Inc., of Lake Lotawana, MO; and,
WHEREAS, the Purchasing Director has recommended that award be made to Mid-America Services Inc., of Lake Lotawana, MO, in the amount of $100.00 for the reason that it has submitted the highest and best bid; and,
WHEREAS, the Purchasing Director has recommended that the A. B. Dick Tandom Presses be disposed of by way of donation to the City of Kansas City; therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED, by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the printing equipment be and hereby is declared surplus; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Director of Purchasing is hereby authorized to dispose of a portion of the surplus property by way of sale to the highest bidder; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Director of Purchasing is hereby authorized to dispose of a portion of the surplus property by way of donation to the City of Kansas City, MO; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that award be made as recommen...
