Body
WHEREAS, The Curators of the University of Missouri's Building Internal Capacity for Outcomes Based Evaluation Within COMBAT program is a drug prevention program whose primary goals are to identify, establish, and evaluate the nature and, extent of communication, collaboration and cooperation between programs, agencies, and service providers directly and indirectly linked to COMBAT; and,
WHEREAS, The Curators of the University of Missouri have received a federal grant from the Department of Health and Human Services in the amount of $20,000.00 for this program; and,
WHEREAS, The Curators of the University of Missouri have requested anti-drug sales tax matching funds in the amount of $20,000.00 to continue the program; and,
WHEREAS, the Prosecuting Attorney has reviewed this request and recommends matching funding in the amount of $20,000.00 from his grant match account; therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the County Executive is hereby authorized to execute the attached Agreement with The Curators of the University of Missouri; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of the Department of Finance is hereby authorized to make all payments, including final payment on the Agreement...Attorney
Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
