Body
WHEREAS, the Purchasing Director has solicited formal written bids on Bid No. 2-04 for the maintenance of pumps for use by the Parks and Recreation Department to provide for departmental needs for the upcoming twenty-four month period; and,
WHEREAS, he has received as the only two bids thereon, bids from the following:
VENDOR RATE PER HOUR
ON SITE
JCI Industries, Inc. $51.00
Lee's Summit, MO
Layne Christensen $80.00
Kansas City, KS
and,
WHEREAS, the Purchasing Director has recommended that award be made JCI Industries, Inc., of Lee's Summit, MO, for the reason that it has submitted the lowest and best bid; therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that award be made as recommended by the Purchasing Director, and that the Purchasing Director be, and is hereby, authorized to execute for the County any documents necessary to the accomplishment of the award; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of the Department of Finance is authorized to make all payments, including final payment on the contract thereby made, to the extent that sufficient appropriations to the using spending agency are contained in the then current Jackson County budget.

Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
