WHEREAS, the Purchasing Director has solicited bids on Bid No. BB200596 for the furnishing of trash removal service for use county-wide to provide for county-wide needs for the upcoming one-year period; and,
WHEREAS, he distributed 20 solicitations, and has received two responses thereon as follows:

BFI Waste Services $118, 637.17
Kansas City, KS
and,
WHEREAS, following evaluation of the bids submitted, he has recommended award to Deffenbaugh Industries, Inc., of Shawnee, KS, for the reason that it has submitted the lowest and best bid; and,
WHEREAS, this award is made on an as needed basis and does not obligate the County to pay any specific amount; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that award be made as recommended by the Purchasing Director, and that the Purchasing Director be, and is hereby, authorized to execute for the County any documents necessary to the accomplishment of the award; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of the Department of Finance is authorized to make all payments, including final payment on the contract, to the extent that sufficient appropriations to the using spending agencies are contained in the then current Jackson County budget.

Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
