A RESOLUTION authorizing and directing the Jackson County Counselor to delay entering into an agreement for binding arbitration of the issues and determination of liability arising from any claims that Jackson County may assert for trespass and damage to County park property by an adjacent landowner, until after May 30, 2005.

Body
WHEREAS, Resolution 15463 was adopted by Legislature on April 25, 2005; and,
WHEREAS, in light of the new information contained in the Letter (attached) dated April 29, 2005 from Sidney L. Willens, Attorney At Law, it is in the best interest of County to delay entering into a binding arbitration agreement with the potential defendants; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the County Counselor is hereby authorized and directed to delay entering into a binding arbitration agreement with the potential Defendants.
Enacted and Approved
Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
