Body
WHEREAS, University Health (UH) proudly marked a historic moment with the official opening of the region's only Level IV Maternal Care Center, the highest designation for maternal care; and,

WHEREAS, the Center for High-Risk Pregnancy & OB/GYN Specialty Care is now operational, offering comprehensive services to support women at all stages of life, particularly those with high-risk pregnancies and specialized OB/GYN needs; and,

WHEREAS, a message from Medical Director Nia Jenkins, MD, states "Today marks a significant milestone as we celebrate the opening of our OB/GYN space - The Center for High-Risk Pregnancy & OB/GYN Specialty Care, I want to take a moment to express our heartfelt gratitude to our generous donors, words cannot express our excitement, your contributions have made this a reality, and we are truly thankful for your willingness to invest in the health and well-being of our community"; and,

WHEREAS, approximately 10% of all pregnancies require specialized care from a Maternal Fetal Medicine (MFM) physician, also known as a high-risk pregnancy specialist; and,

WHEREAS, factors such as maternal age, preexisting health conditions, and multiple births (twins, triplets) often necessitate advanced medical attention and with the opening of this center, University Health is ensuring that women have access to the highest level of maternal care right here in the Kansas City region; and,

WHEREAS, with this new space, UH has doubled the number of patient and procedure rooms, added a dedicated ultrasound...
