Body
WHEREAS, the County did, by Resolution 12672, dated April 26, 1999, enter into a contract with Superior-Bowen Asphalt Company of Kansas City, MO, in the actual amount of $919,197.88, for the 1999 Road Surface Rehabilitation and Reconstruction Project, No. 2383; and,

WHEREAS, the proposed Change Order No. 1 (Final), a copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference, is necessary to adjust all variable contract quantities to as-built quantities, as set forth in the original contract, and will result in a decrease of $1,057.21 in the contract amount; and,

WHEREAS, all work contemplated by the original contract has been completed and is fully acceptable to the County; therefore,

BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that Change Order No. 1 (Final) to the aforesaid contract be, and is hereby, approved and the Director of Public Works be, and is hereby authorized to execute the said change order on behalf of the County; and,

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of the Department of Finance be and hereby is authorized to make final payment on the contract, and to release the encumbrance on the contract balance of $1,057.21.

Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
