Body
WHEREAS, the Public Works Department has a need for testing, inspections, and
monitoring of the fire detection and notification systems at the new Jackson County Detention Center; and,

WHEREAS, the Interim Director of Finance and Purchasing and the Director of Public Works recommend the award of a contract for testing, inspections, and monitoring the fire detection and notification systems services to Siemens Industry, Inc. of Alpharetta, GA under the terms and conditions set forth in Sourcewell Contract No. 30910, an existing competitively bid government contract; and,

WHEREAS, the Interim Director of Finance and Purchasing recommends award under section 1030.4, Jackson County Code, 1984, for the reason that this will allow the County to take advantage of discounts offered to large entities; and,



WHEREAS, this award is made on an as needed basis and does not obligate Jackson County to pay any amount, with the availability of funds for specific purchases remaining subject to annual appropriation, with an annual estimated cost of $125,0000.00; now therefore,

BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that award be made under the existing competitively-bid contract as recommended by the Interim Director of Finance and Purchasing and the Director of Public Works and that the Interim Director of Finance and Purchasing be, and is hereby, authorized to execute for the County any documents necessa...
