Body
WHEREAS, by Ordinance 3725, dated December 5, 2005, the Legislature did authorize the execution of Memorandum of Understanding with the City of Blue Springs and extensions to the Memoranda of Understanding with the cities of Lee's Summit and Independence, relating to those cities' participation in the Coordinated Community Response to Domestic Violence Program, partially funded by a grant from the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ); and,

WHEREAS, by Ordinance 3884, dated March 26, 2007, the Legislature did authorize the extension of the Coordinated Community Response to Domestic Violence program; and

WHEREAS, the cities have received an additional $26,330.00 in aggregate grant funding to continue this program; and,

WHEREAS, additional matching funds from the County are required in the amount of $7,240.00; and,

WHEREAS, a transfer and appropriation are necessary in order to place the grant and matching funds in the proper spending accounts; and,

WHEREAS, the County Executive recommends this appropriation and transfer; now therefore,

BE IT ORDAINED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the following transfer and appropriation be made:
