Body
WHEREAS, Guadalupe Center, Inc.'s El Otro Camino program is designed to provide substance abuse treatment services for high-risk youth ages 13 through 21; and,

WHEREAS, Guadalupe Center, Inc., has received a grant from the Heart of America United Way for this program, in the amount of $30,858.00; and,

WHEREAS, Guadalupe has requested local matching funds for this program from the Anti-Drug Sales Tax Fund in the amount of $20,000.00; and,

WHEREAS, the Prosecuting Attorney has reviewed this proposal and recommends the expenditure of these funds; now therefore,

BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the County Executive is hereby authorized to execute an Agreement with the Guadalupe Center, Inc., for its El Otro Camino program, in a form to be approved by the County Counselor; and,

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of the Department of Finance is hereby authorized to make all payments, including final payment on the Agreement.

Enacted and Approved
Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
