Body
WHEREAS, the County desires to purchase in-car video systems for use by the Sheriff's Department; and,
WHEREAS, section 1040.1, Jackson County Code, eliminates the requirement for competitive bidding when the items to be purchased can be obtained from only one source; and,
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance and Purchasing pursuant to section 1040.04, recommends the purchase of the in-car video systems from McCoy's Law Line of Chanute, Kansas, as the sole source provider of these items; and,
WHEREAS, section 1063.00, Jackson County Code, 1984, requires that for any such purchase in excess of $25,000, the Director of Finance and Purchasing shall submit the purchase to the Legislature for approval; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED that the purchase under the existing government contract be made as recommended by the Director of Finance and Purchasing, and that the Director be, and is hereby, authorized to execute for the County any documents necessary to the accomplishment of the purchase; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of the Department of Finance and Purchasing is authorized to make all payments, including final payments on the contract.
Enacted and Approved
Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
