WHEREAS, by Resolution 14464, dated February 24, 2003, the Legislature did award contracts for the furnishing of drug treatment services for use by the Prosecuting Attorney's Drug Court program to the following vendors at the following unit costs in an aggregate amount not to exceed $699,659.00:

WHEREAS, by Resolution 14906, dated February 9, 2004, the County Executive was authorized to execute one-year extensions of each of these contracts at the same rates wherein each contract was extended to February 28, 2005; and,

WHEREAS, the Prosecuting Attorney and the County Executive now recommend a one-month extension of each contract to March 31, 2005 for the continuation of services during the pendency of the Request for Proposals process for the award of new term and supply contracts; and,

WHEREAS, both of the venders are in agreement with this recommendation; and,

WHEREAS, the Legislature has determined that a one-month extension of these contracts, with the same vendors and at the same rates and estimated usage, is presently in the best interests of the health, welfare, and safety of the citizens of Jackson County; now therefore,
