Body
WHEREAS, by Resolution 15512, the County Legislature did authorize the County Executive to execute a Memorandum of Understanding with Carpenters' District Council of Kansas City & Vicinity regarding the terms and conditions of employment of members of its bargaining unit within the Office of the Prosecuting Attorney and providing county-paid vehicle parking for those employees; and,

WHEREAS, by Resolution 15610, the County Legislature did authorize the County Executive to execute an Agreement with Standard Parking for parking for the employees of the prosecutors office who are members of the Carpenters' District Council of Kansas City bargaining unit; and,

WHEREAS, the Legislature supports fair and equitable benefits for all county employees; and,

WHEREAS, it is the intention of the Legislature that any benefit such as parking provided for any group of employees should be made available to all employees; and,

WHEREAS, the Legislature desires to provide non-reserved monthly automobile parking access cards or parking spaces for all county employees who are stationed in Downtown Kansas City Missouri; and,

WHEREAS, a transfer of $13,230.00 within the 2005 General Fund and $840.00 within the 2005 Assessment Fund is necessary to cover the cost of this proposal; now therefore,

BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature...
