Body
WHEREAS, the Sheriff's Department has nine vehicles from the Sheriff's Department that have become excess property; and,
WHEREAS, the Jackson County Purchasing Director has declared these vehicles as surplus; and,
WHEREAS, by Resolution 12919, dated October 18, 1999, the Legislature authorized the purchase of law enforcement supplies and ammunition for use by the Sheriff's Department from OMB Police Supply of Overland Park, KS; and,
WHEREAS, the Director of Purchasing recommends that the nine vehicles be used as trade-ins to OMB Police Supply of Overland Park, KS, per bid specifications; therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the Purchasing, Director is hereby authorized to dispose of the surplus property by way of trade-in to OMB Police Supply of Overland Park, KS, on law enforcement supplies and ammunition.
Enacted and Approved
Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
