RESOLUTION NO. 18433, March 18, 2014

INTRODUCED BY Theresa Garza Ruiz, County Legislator

Body
WHEREAS, section 1030.1 of the Jackson County Code, 1984, eliminates the requirement for competitive bidding when items to be purchased can be obtained from only one source; and,

WHEREAS, the Director of Finance and Purchasing further recommends that he not take competitive bids with regard to said contract for the reason that Manatron/Thomson Reuters is the only known supplier of the public access software that is part of its own proprietary Anthem System records software currently in use by the County; now therefore,

BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri that a contract be awarded to Manatron/Thomson Reuters of Austin, TX, in the amount of $32,680.00, as a sole source purchase, and that the Director of Finance and Purchasing is authorized to execute for the County any documents necessary to the accomplishment of this award; and,
