WHEREAS, Union Station in Kansas City, Missouri, has a rich history and cultural significance that has been cherished by the citizens of Jackson County for over a century; and,
WHEREAS, Semmel Exhibitions and Marvel Entertainment have collaborated to create an immersive exhibit that celebrates the enduring legacy of Spider-Man, one of pop culture's greatest icons; and,
WHEREAS, "Spider-Man: Beyond Amazing," opening on May 26, 2023, showcases original art, interactive displays, photo opportunities, and priceless artifacts that chronicle the webslinger's origins from 1962 to his modern-day adventures, inspiring generations of fans with his aspirational heroism and universal message of great power necessitating great responsibility; and,
WHEREAS, the exhibit is a unique fusion of traditional museum techniques and cutting-edge technology, providing visitors with an interactive and engaging experience that highlights the evolution of the Spider-Man franchise through comic books, films, animation, and video games; and,
WHEREAS, Union Station's Spider-Man exhibit promises to be an immersive and engaging experience that will captivate visitors of all ages and backgrounds; and,
WHEREAS, Union Station's Spider-Man exhibit is expected to draw visitors from all over the world to our vibrant and diverse community, boosting local businesses and stimulating economic growth; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri that the Legislature hereby celebrates and recognizes Union Station's upcoming Spider-Man exhibit and commends the curators for their hard work and dedication in bringing this exciting attraction to the community; and,
