Body
BE IT ORDAINED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri as follows:

Section 1. A conditional use permit for 75 years to consolidate existing special use permits S-266, S-499, and S-742, pertaining to the quarrying and crushing of rock, subject to restrictions attached, under the Unified Development Code, is hereby approved as to a certain tract of land described as follows:
The three existing permits S-266, S-499 and S-742 cover 2,406 acres. S-266 applies to a 493 acre area bordered generally by Highway 7 on the east, Langsford Road on the south and Milton Thompson Road on the west and north. S-499 applies to a 1,450 acre area generally south of Langsford Road, north of U.S. 50 Highway and west of MO. 7 Highway, S-742 covers a 463 acre area generally east of Mo. 7 Highway. (See Attached Legal Descriptions for each permit area).

Section 2. The Legislature, pursuant to the application of Barber & Sons Tobacco Company, Inc. (CU-96-005), requesting approval embodied in this ordinance and with notice that the Jackson County Planning Commission, by a 3 to 2 vote, failed to recommend approval of this application in a public hearing on March 20, 1997, does adopt this ordinance pursuant to the Jackson County Charter authorizing the Legislature to exercise legislative power pertaining to planning and zoning...Attorney
Effective Date: This Ordinance shall be effective immediately upon its signature by the County Executive.
