Title
A RESOLUTION authorizing the County Executive to execute an Agreement with Truman Medical Center Behavioral Health Services, a division of Truman Medical Center, Inc., in the amount of $273,000.00, to provide for a substance abuse treatment program for inmates of the Jackson County Detention Center.

Body
WHEREAS, Truman Medical Center Behavioral Health Services, a division of Truman Medical Center, Inc., has submitted a proposal for funding in 1998 for a substance abuse treatment program providing comprehensive substance abuse treatment services to inmates of the Jackson County Detention Center from the Anti-Drug Sales Tax Trust Fund, in the amount of $273,000.00; and,
WHEREAS, this proposal includes an option to renew the contract for 1999, on the part of the County, at an agreed-upon rate; and,
WHEREAS, the Director of Corrections has reviewed the proposal submitted by Truman Medical Center Behavioral Health Services and recommends funding in 1998; therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the County Executive is hereby authorized to enter into the attached Agreement with Truman Medical Center Behavioral Health Services; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of the Department of Finance be and hereby is authorized to make all payments, including final payment on the Agreement.
Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
