Body
WHEREAS, Holy Cross School 8th grade basketball player, Anthony Civella, proudly represented his school and achieved his own personal victory on Saturday, February 21, 1998; and,
WHEREAS, as a Holy Cross Crusader, Anthony scored 46 points in a basketball game against Nativity played at the Holy Cross Gym; and,
WHEREAS, not only did Anthony break the school record of points scored in a single game, but it is believed he also broke the Kansas City Parochial League record; and,
WHEREAS, Anthony deserves the highest of praise for his outstanding accomplishment and for representing his school in his athletic endeavors; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the Legislature congratulates Anthony Civella upon his achievement of breaking Holy Cross High School's record for points scored in a single game.

Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
