Body
WHEREAS, by Ordinance 3084, dated October 16, 2000, the Legislature did authorize an Agreement between the County and Abt Associates, Inc., of Cambridge, Massachusetts, whereby, Abt Associates, Inc. would provide collection and analysis of data relating to those arrested under the Jackson County Arrestee Drug Abuse Monitoring (ADAM) program, at a cost to the County of $66,141.70; and,
WHEREAS, the Agreement provided that if Abt's data collection subcontractor, the University of Missouri, Kansas City, encountered higher than anticipated expenses, a mutually satisfactory adjustment to the contract prices would be negotiated; and,
WHEREAS, these expenses were higher than anticipated and the Prosecuting Attorney's Office now recommends that the Agreement be increased in the amount of $12,131.00; and,
WHEREAS, the attached First Addendum to Agreement adequately sets forth the Agreement and understanding of the parties in this regard; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the County Executive be and hereby is authorized to execute the attached First Addendum to the Agreement with Abt Associates, Inc; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Manager of the Division of Finance be and hereby is authorized to make all payments, including final payment on the Agreement and First Addendum thereto.
Enacted and Approved
Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
