Body
WHEREAS, the Purchasing Director has solicited formal written bids on Bid No. 98-97 for remodeling work in the dispatch area at the Sheriff's Department's headquarters building; and,

WHEREAS, he has received as the lowest two bids thereon bids from the following:
VENDOR BID
River Oaks Construction, Inc. $61,500.00
Lee's Summit, MO

Heartland Construction, Inc. $65,250.00
Overland Park, KS


and,


WHEREAS, the Purchasing Director has recommended that award be made to River Oaks Construction, Inc., for the reason that it has submitted the lowest and best bid; and,

WHEREAS, a transfer within the 1997 Special Road and Bridge Fund is necessary to accomplish this award; and,

WHEREAS, the County Executive recommends such transfer; therefore,

BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the following transfer be made within the 1997 Special Road and Bridge Fund:

and,

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that award be made as recommended by the Purchasing Director, and that the Purchasing Director be, and is hereby, authorized to execute for the County any documents necessary to the accomplishment of the award; and,
