Body
WHEREAS, the citizens of Jackson County are honored to host John V. Farrelly, Chairman of the Meath County Council, for 2014 St. Patrick's Day Parade; and,
WHEREAS, Mr. Farrelly is an Irish Fine Gail politician and auctioneer; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Farrelly was a Teachta? D?la (TD Deputy) for the Meath constituency from 1981 to 1989 and 1997 to 2002; and,
WHEREAS, he was a member of the Seanad ?ireann from 1993 to 1997 and has been a member of the Meath County Council since 1999; and,
WHEREAS, Mr. Farrelly was educated at St. Finian's College, Mullingar, and Warrenstown Agricultural College, County Meath; and,
WHEREAS, Mr. Farrelly was first elect to D?il ?ireann at the 1981 general election and retained his seat until 1992; and,
WHEREAS, he was elected to Seanad ?ireann on the Agricultural Panel in 1993; and,
WHEREAS, Mr. Farrelly was appoint Chairperson of the Meath County Council in June 2013; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the Legislature welcomes Meath County Council Chairman Mr. John V. Farrelly and extends best wishes and gratitude for his service to the citizens of Meath County, Ireland.
Enacted and Approved
Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
