Body
WHEREAS, it is appropriate that the County's building code be amended to provide better defined guidelines and enforcement of the code; and,

WHEREAS, the amendments will provide more defined requirements as to what is required for permitting; now therefore,

BE IT ORDAINED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, as follows:

Section A. Enacting Clause. Sections 5400., 5401., 5402., 5403., 5404., and 5405., Jackson County Code, 1984, are hereby repealed, and ten new sections enacted in lieu thereof, to be known as sections 5400., 5401., 5402., 5403., 5404., 5405., 5406., 5407., 5408., 5409., and 5410., to read as follows:

5400. Building Code.
Certain documents, copies of which are on file and are open for inspection by the public in the office[s] of the director of public works [and clerk of the county legislature], being marked and designated as:

International Code Conference, 2006 Edition, published by the International Code Council; and, International Building Codes, 2006 Edition, published by the International Code Council, as modified or amended in the Uniform Building Code Standards referenced below:
2006 International Building Code, except Chapter 29, Plumbing
2006 International Residential Code, except Chapter 27, Plumbing
2003 International Energy Code
2006 Uniform Mechanical Code
2006 Uniform Plumbing Code
2005 National Electrical Code
