Body
WHEREAS, the Director of Public Works has solicited formal written bids on Bid No. PW-07-2002 for the construction of the Harris Road Bridge Replacement Project No. 2409; and,
WHEREAS, he has received as the lowest three bids thereon bids from the following:

WCI Company $238,580.80
Paola, KS
Knapp Construction Co. $249,090.50
Kansas City, KS
Rose-Lan Contractors $251.612.28
Kansas City, KS
and,
WHEREAS, the Director of Public Works has recommended that award be made to WCI Company of Paola, Kansas, for the reason that it has submitted the lowest and best bid; therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that award be made as recommended by the Director of Public Works, and that the Director of Public Works be, and is hereby, authorized to execute for the County any documents necessary to the accomplishment of the award; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of Public Works be and hereby is authorized to adjust any and all line item quantities in the contract, provided that there is not thereby created any additional funding obligation to the County; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of the Department of Finance is authorized to make all payments, except final payment on the contract.
Enacted and Approved
Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
