Intro
WHEREAS, Swope Parkway Health Center's "Health Care For The Homeless Program" is an aggressive, mobile outreach program staffed by physician assistants, substance abuse counselors, outreach workers, case managers, and intake specialists, offered to the County's homeless population; and,

WHEREAS, Swope Parkway Health Center's "Health Care For The Homeless Program" has requested $50,000.00 in anti-drug sales tax funds to secure the continuation of this federally-funded program; and,

WHEREAS, these funds will be used as the local match to a federal grant in the amount of $1,241,083.00 for this program; and,

WHEREAS, the Prosecuting Attorney has reviewed this proposal and recommends the expenditure of these funds; therefore,


BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the County Executive is hereby authorized to enter into an agreement, a copy of which is attached and incorporated herein by reference, with Swope Parkway Health Center for its "Health Care For The Homeless Program;" and,

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of the Department of Finance be and hereby is authorized to make all payments including final payment on the contract...Attorney
Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
