WHEREAS, the Parks and Recreation Department has surplus personal property, to wit a 1988 Chevrolet Model C30 Truck, VIN#1GBHR34K9JJ120479, that has become unusable due to its damage in a motor vehicle accident; and,
WHEREAS, as a part of an insurance settlement, the Purchasing Director has declared this property surplus; therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the Director of Purchasing is hereby authorized to dispose of the Chevrolet truck, by way of transfer to Farmers Insurance Co., Inc., of Lenexa, KS, in settlement of an insurance claim in the amount of $5,250.00.

Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
