A RESOLUTION authorizing the County Executive to execute a permanent utility easement in favor of the Raytown Water Company across a portion of the Rock Island Corridor, for a fee payable to the County.

RESOLUTION NO. 21749, October 7, 2024

 

INTRODUCED BY Charlie Franklin, County Legislator

 

 

Body

 WHEREAS, the City of Raytown, Missouri Water Company is requesting a permanent water line utility easement of 2,000 square feet across a portion of the Rock Island Corridor located at East 59th Street and Raytown Traffic Way; and,

 

WHEREAS, the Parks + Rec Department has determined that the permanent water line utility easement will have no adverse effect on the use of the corridor, trailway, or park operations; and,

 

WHEREAS, the City of Raytown will pay the County the sum of $2,800.00 for the easement which includes the $2,000.00 administrative fee and .40/square foot permanent easement fee of $800.00; now therefore, 

 

BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, the permanent utility easement is hereby approved, and that the County Executive is hereby authorized to execute the easement on behalf of the County.

 

 

Enacted and Approved

Effective Date: This resolution shall be effective immediately upon its signature by the County Executive.
