WHEREAS, by Resolution 18083, dated February 4, 2013, the Legislature did authorize the execution of an agreement with Twelfth Street Heritage Development Corporation of Kansas City, MO, to provide assistance to homeless persons at the recommendation of the Housing Resources Commission (HRC), at a cost to the County in the amount of $30,000.00; and,
WHEREAS, Twelfth Street Heritage provides an assistance program in which its clients mow and manage 130 vacant lots in Kansas City; and,
WHEREAS, the County and Twelfth Street Heritage propose to execute an addendum to the Cooperative Agreement for the hiring of a supervisor to oversee additional seasonal mowing needs, at an additional cost to the County not to exceed $12,000.00; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the County Executive be and hereby is authorized to execute an addendum to the Cooperative Agreement on behalf of the County with Twelfth Street Heritage Development Corporation, in a form to be approved by the County Counselor, at an additional cost to the County not to exceed $12,000.00; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of Finance and Purchasing is authorized to make all payments, including final payment on the agreement and addendum thereto.
Enacted and Approved
Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
