Body
WHEREAS, Lee's Summit North High School senior, Nathan Dent, was recently selected to receive the 2010 Missouri Award for Outstanding Achievement in Citizenship; and,
WHEREAS, Nathan is among just 15 high school seniors throughout Missouri selected for this honor by a panel of the Advisory Committee on Citizenship Education; and,
WHEREAS, Nathan has been active in a variety of extracurricular and leadership activities including President of the Student Senate, Missouri Youth in Government, Vice President of National Honor Society, Spanish Club, Spanish Honors Society, Dude's for Drama, Swimming and Tennis; and,
WHEREAS, Nathan has also been recognized for his extraordinary efforts as the recipient of Rotary Club Student of the Month, Sunshine Rotary Club Student of the Month, Mr. Congeniality in the Mr. Bronco competition and was voted "Most Memorable" and "Most likely to become President" by the Lee's Summit North Class of 2010; and,

WHEREAS, Nathan has excelled academically earning a GPA of 4.43, ranked 7th out of 493 students, earned an ACT score of 32, and achieved membership on the Principal's Honor Roll throughout his four years of high school; and,
WHEREAS, Nathan has been supported in all his achievements by his father, Russell Dent, and mother, Janeece Dent-Bennett; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri that the Legislature congratulates Mr. Nathan Dent on all of his achievements and extends sincere best wishes for continued success in all of his future endeavors.
