Body
WHEREAS, the Purchasing Director solicited formal written bids under Bid No. 64-10 for the furnishing of electronic home monitoring services for use by the Jackson County Office of Population Control; and,

WHEREAS, by Resolution 13802, dated August 20, 2001, the Legislature awarded the contract for home monitoring services to Midwest ADP, Inc., of Independence, MO, in the estimated annual amount of $292,000.00; and,

WHEREAS, Midwest ADP subsequently advised the County, by letter dated September 10, 2001, that it will not be able to enter into the subject contract with the County as it has been unable to negotiate a satisfactory agreement with its equipment supplier, BI, Inc.; and,

WHEREAS, the Purchasing Director now recommends that award be made to Kansas City Corrective Training of Kansas City, MO, for the "supervision" portion of its proposal, for the reason that it is the best remaining proposal; therefore,

BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that Resolution No. 13802, dated August 20, 2001, be and hereby is rescinded and the encumbrance thereon released; and,

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that award be made as recommended by the Purchasing Director, and that the Purchasing Director be, and is hereby, authorized to execute for the County any documents necessary for the accomplishment of the award; and,
