WHEREAS, the 2003 Jackson County Budget, adopted by Ordinance 3336, dated January 6, 2003, contains appropriations from the County's Health Fund for certain outside agencies to provide various public services to the County and its citizens; and,
WHEREAS, these agencies, and the respective amounts contained in the budget, are as follows:

Swope Parkway Health Center $462,040.00
Kansas City Free Health Clinic $152,859.00
Richard Cabot Westside Clinic $60,000.00

Samuel U. Rodgers Community Health Center $331,324.00
Sunshine Center $50,000.00
Northwest Communities Development Corp. $70,000.00
Rainbow Center for Communicative Disorders $25,000.00

Giant Step Day Program $24,000.00
Seton Center $20,000.00
TOTAL $2,554,556.00
and,
WHEREAS, the execution of agreements with these agencies, in the amounts indicated, is in the best interests of the health, welfare, and safety of the citizens of Jackson County; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the County Executive be and hereby is authorized to execute agreements with the agencies listed in this Resolution, in the respective amounts indicated, in a form to be approved by the County Counselor; and,
