Body
WHEREAS, Section 1040.1 of the Jackson County Code, 1984, eliminates the requirement for competiti e bidding when items to be purchased can be obtained from only one source; and,

WHEREAS, Section 1063.00 of the Code requires notification of and approval by the Legislature on s ch sole source purchases exceeding $5,000.00; and,

WHEREAS, the Purchasing Director recommends a contract with SPSS, Inc., of Chicago, IL, for the fu nishing of computer software to enhance the CAMA system used by the Assessment Department; and,

WHEREAS, the Purchasing Director further recommends that he not take competitive bids with regard o said contract for the reason that SPSS, Inc., of Chicago, IL, is the only known supplier of comp ter software which supports the CAMA system; and,

WHEREAS, in order to effect this purchase, a transfer within the 1995 Assessment Fund is necessary and,

WHEREAS, the County Executive has recommended said transfer; therefore,

BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the following transfer e made within the 1995 Assessment Fund:
