Body
WHEREAS, by Ordinance 4165, dated October 26, 2009, the Legislature did authorize the acceptance of the 2009 Byrne Justice Assistance Grant (JAG), received from the U.S. Department of Justice; and,
WHEREAS, the County and the U.S. Department of Justice now desire to extend the grant through December 31, 2013, at no additional cost to the County; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the 2009 JAG Grant, received from the U. S. Department of Justice, be and hereby is extended until December 31, 2013; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Prosecuting Attorney and all other County officials be and hereby are authorized to execute any and all documents necessary to the extension.
Enacted and Approved
Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
