WHEREAS, Pursuant to the Memorandum of Understanding between the County and Local 42 IAFF, the County has agreed to the establishment of two new seats on the County Pension Plan Administrative Committee, and

WHEREAS, the Memorandum of Understanding specifies that these new members will be selected by the Prosecutor and the President of the Union, now therefore;


BE IT ORDAINED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri as follows:


Section A. Enacting Clause. Sections 1540, Jackson County Code, 1984, is hereby repealed, and one new section enacted in lieu thereof, to be known as ยง1540, to read as follows:

Pension Plan Administration Committee, Composition.
1541. 1541.
The Employer by action of the County Legislature and the County Executive shall appoint a Committee to be known as the "Pension Plan Administration Committee" to administer the Plan and to keep records of individual Member benefits. The composition and membership of the Pension Plan Administration Committee shall be established as follows:
(i) the Manager of Finance, as Chairman;
(ii) the Director of Personnel, as Secretary;
(iii) an active Member of the Plan who is an employee of the Circuit Court, to be appointed from time to time by the Presiding Judge of the Circuit Court;
(iv) two (2) active Members of the Plan to be appointed from time to time by the County Legislature, not more than one member from any one department;
(v) four (4) independent business executives to be appointed from time to time by the County Executive subject to disapproval of the County Legislature.
