Body
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance and Purchasing has solicited bids on Electronic Solicitation No. BB200759 for the furnishing of asphaltic concrete for use by the Public Works and Parks and Recreation Departments; and,

WHEREAS, three (3) solicitations were distributed and one (1) response was received as follows:
BIDDER PRODUCT PRICE PER TON
Vance Brothers, Inc. Asphaltic concrete, delivered $49.00
Kansas City, MO (Jackson) Asphaltic concrete, picked up $45.00

and,

WHEREAS, the Director of Finance and Purchasing recommends that the contract be awarded to Vance Brothers, Inc., of Kansas City, MO, as the lowest and best bidder; and,

WHEREAS, this award is made on an as needed basis and does not obligate the County to pay any specific amount; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that award be made as recommended by the Director of Finance and Purchasing, and that the Director be and hereby is authorized to execute for the County any documents necessary to the accomplishment of the award; and,

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of Finance and Purchasing is authorized to make all payments, including final payment on the contract, to the extent that sufficient appropriations to the using spending agency are available in the then current Jackson County budget.

Enacted and Approved
Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
