Body
WHEREAS, the Sheriff's Office has miscellaneous radio equipment, uniform pants, shirts, vests, and duty belts that it can no longer used, further described and itemized in the attached Exhibit A; and,
WHEREAS, the Sheriff's Office recommends these items be donated to the Missouri Department of Public Safety to be made available to other law enforcement agencies; and,
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance and Purchasing recommends that said property be declared surplus and unusable; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the property within the Sheriff's Office, further described and itemized in Exhibit A, be and hereby is declared surplus, and that the Director of Finance and Purchasing be and hereby is authorized to dispose of it as indicated, pursuant to chapter 11, Jackson County Code, 1984.
Enacted and Approved
Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
